Mike and Erin,

We could not have imagined a better vendor for lighting and sound than AMS.  They are true professionals who take their art seriously, which shows in how passionately they are in each step of the planning process.  We could tell that they were going to be great to work with during our first consultation meeting, where they not only asked, but listened to, and were genuinely excited about each of the requests we had for the night.  We were truly able to make the night about us. Erin, The DJ, is awesome.  She seemed so in tune with all styles of music; we went on a limb and gave her complete artistic freedom with planning our night’s music (No Playlist!).  We were NOT disappointed.  From an elegant cocktail hour, through dinner and onto one of the most rocking dance parties we have ever experienced – she really kept the vibe of the room right were it needed to be at all the right times.  SHE ROCKS! Mike was the MC and Lighting expert.  His voice is professional, easy to understand, and he did a great job at ushering the night on schedule through all of the important events (Bridal Party Intros, Parent Dances, Speeches, Cake Cutting, Bouquet/Garter throw, etc.).  We were tired of hearing about all of the cheesy tactics some DJs do to get everyone more involved in the night — Mike did it simply with a genuine excitement for what he does, and a great attitude! As for the lights – WOW.  Mike knows his stuff and is truly a genius at transforming not just the actual room but the entire atmosphere and mood of the event to a whole new level of it’s own.  The up washing really added a dramatic feel to the cocktail hour and dinner, and then when dancing started, the lasers, strobe lights, and hazing machine turned a regular wedding reception into the hottest nightclub in Hartford! (seriously)  If you are contemplating upgrading to the lighting package, I would seriously urge you to go for it! AMS will provide you with a professional, flexible and customized experience that is truly second to none.   Beyond that, they integrate seamlessly with the rest of our vendors to ensure that the lighting/sound services are not intrusive to other activities going on.  Ever since our wedding,we’ve gotten several requests for their information, saying that “the flow, lighting and music of the night was perfect, and the best they have ever seen!”  Erin and Mike are incredible, and they were integral in making our wedding the best day (and party ;) ) of our life!

Thanks for the follow up call yesterday to check in on the party for my friend Betsy and your awesome DJ, Andre. I just wanted you to know that Ed and I were thrilled with Andre’s professionalism and talent. He made the party.
He was very helpful and detailed. He was on top of the schedule for the evening and was accomodating to all the guests.

I would highly recommend him be at the top of your list for anyone requesting a and looking for a great DJ to make any event an top notch affair.

I’m sorry that its taken me so long to write you this email! I wanted to take a minute to thank you for the wonderful experience we had at our wedding. You and Erin are the personification of the perfect wedding professionals. My parents, who are inherently hard to please, had endless words of praise for every detail from the lighting (my mom FINALLY admitted how great the room looked with the upwashing) to the dinner music choices, to the ability to keep everyone moving. We have been to quite a few weddings, with quite a few DJs, and none of them can hold a candle to Erin’s talent. You’ve heard all the stories, and to see Erin shatter every wedding DJ stereotype with ease, was quite amazing – even though I knew she was going to. I really appreciate you going the extra mile for us, with pricing and the the dancefloor lighting. EVERY one of my guests that I talked to after the wedding, young and old, told me that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. I attribute that praise to you and Erin – because the atmosphere and the music account for more than 90% of a good time. It means so much to us that you were able to provide that. I am going to miss chatting with you both – I really have come to think of you both as friends. It goes without saying that should we ever need your services again, you’re on speed dial. Have a happy 4th and enjoy wedding season!

These two not only do this for a living, but they do this because they love it! The music and the lighting were amazing. Erin is such an amazing DJ. The dance floor was filled from the moment it opened until the facility closed. Mike did an awesome job as the emcee. We had an awesome time and everyone had a blast! Our guests still talk about how fun that night was, giving us complements for choosing the best DJ/emcee. I just wanted to thank you both again for everything! Everyone was so impressed with the music and the light show! My dad says everyone kept telling him how good the music was and that they felt like the dance party never stopped all night! Probably my favorite moment from the dance party was seeing my Grandparents (who normally listen to church music) get down to Raise Your Glass by Pink! That was hilarious! My husband and I got married at The Society Room October 8th and we used AMS’ services for the music and lighting. When I walked into the space that night, the room honestly took my breath away – the purple (I admit, I was hesitant on this color at first, but Mike assured me it was the best for that room) upwash lighting changed the entire space completely and took it to an entirely different level. We are still hearing from our guests how unbelievable the lighting looked and of course, how much fun they had dancing the night away : )  My husband Bret and I are really into music, so we gave Erin a pretty detailed music list, but I know that’s definitely not required and Erin can tell just by a handful of songs the type of music you like – all depends on your preference. They were both incredibly easy to work with and very down to earth, which my husband and I loved. We were so happy we went with them – they definitely went above and beyond to make our night really special. Mike was a fantastic MC, which is something I think a lot of people forget the importance of – he was kind of like the glue that kept the whole thing together.
